Warrior Queen Boudicca

This is a dramatised documentary about the celtic queen Boudicca (also Boudica or Boadicea) of the Iceni a Celtic tribe from East Anglia, East England and her courageous fight against the Romans.

Boudicca's husband King Prasutagus wanted to leave his kingdom to his daughters and also the Roman Emperor but when he died the Emperor did not take account of his will. The Romans took control of the Iceni kingdom, Boudicca was flogged and her daughters raped...

In the year A.D 60/61  Boudicca, driven by those terrible events that beforehand went on to lead a revolt against the Romans with some great success but was eventually defeated at the Battle of Watling Street. She then poisoned herself to prevent capture. - Claza
